Follow Me

Jesus set a great example for living that we will explore this summer at Sidewalk Sunday School. Jesus said, "Follow Me."

With all of the distractions that we face in our daily lives, we know that the simple statement of "Follow Me" is a hard one for us to do. Yet, when we learn what Jesus is all about, following him is exactly what we have to do.

At the beginning, we will talk about why prayer is important to help place our focus in a God who loves us and a God who cares about us. When we learn about God's unconditional love for us, we will be able to realize that we can't judge others. We can celebrate God's love with all of the joy that we have in our hearts. We find that our faith will lead us to a better life.

Many of us use the excuse that we are young, "When I was a child, I thought like a child..."  Jesus says that our age has nothing to do with it. Jesus will help us to grow up.

Everyone at Sidewalk Sunday school is a friend - we are friends with each other, a friend of Jesus, and a friend of God. This friendship leads us to follow a path of forgiveness, peace, and sharing.

The ten weeks of Sidewalk Sunday School that are now underway help us to learn how to be better people, and to really do what Jesus wanted - Follow Me!

This is what Sidewalk Sunday School is all about. It's not simply about hearing a good message. It's about hearing, living, speaking, and spreading that message to anyone and everyone with the confidence that God is with us in everything we do.

Because
GOD LOVES ME
GOD LOVES YOU
GOD LOVES EVERYBODY
